This means that those who want the phone will either have to pay for it outright, or turn to a carrier and sign a contract to buy the phone on installment. This also means that the SIM of the phone will be locked to the carrier. If you want to unlock the SIM of your Galaxy S24, then read on to find out how!

Unlocking through your carrier for free

Unlocking the Galaxy S24’s SIM for free is obviously the most ideal method. Generally speaking, carriers are more than happy to do this for customers, but there are some requirements you may have to meet. Note that these requirements may vary from carrier to carrier, but in general:

• You need to be in good standing with your carrier, meaning that you don’t have any outstanding bills and that the contract with your carrier for the phone has expired
• You’ll also need to make sure that you have owned the device for at least 60-90 days

Assuming you meet those requirements, then the process of unlocking the SIM is pretty easy, just follow the steps below:
